Central California SCORE Fact Sheet

SCORE is national, non-profit organization that is a resource partner of the Small Business Administration. The Central California Chapter of SCORE offers FREE and confidential business counseling and training to would-be and current business owners in Fresno, Kings, Tulare and Merced counties. In addition to in-person, phone and online counseling, SCORE hosts numerous workshops, for a small fee, for both start-up and in-business entrepreneurs.

SCORE's mission is to provide professional guidance and information,
accessible to all, to maximize the success of America's
existing and emerging small businesses.

Nationally SCORE is composed of 10,500 volunteer business mentors, both working and retired, who counsel businesses from 389 chapter offices throughout the country. SCORE volunteers hail from every facet of the business community. Many have worked at large corporations and most have spent years cultivating small businesses of their own. Last year, SCORE helped expand small business opportunities by providing more than 440,000 counseling services across the country to Americans starting or running a small business.
