Best Deli Sandwich

I'm new to the Fresno area, tried Sams and found that the store does offer a large selection @ the Deli counter, I found very little selection on imported meats and cheese as compared to domestic. ordered two sandwiches thinking I hit the mother load. I was anything but pleased the maffalatta and the Italian were small and not what I remember.The Maffalatta was serverd on 12" white roll not like the original round bread and the Italian had no oil and viniger instead they put mayo. Hello, thats what makes the Italian is the oil and viniger.

There is a little piece of heaven on earth, its peaceful and pleasent. The subs are huge and filling, basically they are custom made to how u like your sub. Everything is really fresh. The Deli is also a cafe, they make all beverages and homemade icecream. Its in the center of Downtown Fresno they are open early 7days a week and close late. Its a classic but hip internet deli and cafe. When in the need to have some peace and quite lunch or morning snack this is the place. The price is reasonable and the food is awsome, please try the great subs or panini sandwiches, they also have veggie plates, breakfast specials,baked goods, mexican pastries,homemade icecream, great iced and hot beverages. Its a great place especially if you work downtown like I do.

OK, So I might be the Guy that runs the place. But, We have won 7 awards since we opened in 2001. I couldn't find a place that served a killer sub and a cold beer. So, I made one up! Pacific Coast Highway Subs is in Clovis at Fowler and Herndon. We have a surf theme so, I can wear shorts to work. Four TV's with surf and skate videos or ESPN play'n all day. The Basque bakery delivers our bread daily and we slice everything down to the pickle for that freshness. We have 10 meats & 7 cheeses to choose from. Our sizes are 6", 8", and a foot long but, 2 people split that to eat. With everthing on it it can way over 2 lbs. Oh yes, I did say "BEER"-6 taps. Ask for the BIG GUN a full liter mug! I agree that Geno's has the best bread and Sam's deli will give you the most meat, but if you want the best of both worlds hit up folia brothers on cedar and herndon. Their pastrami sandwiches are great and the potato salad that is served with it is tasty as well.

My new favorite sandwhich shop has to be Blimpie, at Shaw and Marks! Blimpie has the best sandwhiches, wraps, salads, smoothies EVER! Blimpie has the best customer service. The minute you walk in, you are welcomed with a friendly smile! Meats are sliced right when you order! You may custom make your sandwhich any way you like! I highly recommend a visit to Blimpie! You'll be very glad you did!

My all time favorite was Custer's Last Sandwich Stand, but alas, Custer didn't make it out of the hills alive. My newest favorite is Blimpies at Shaw and Marks. If the food was crummy it would still be worth the visit for the great atmosphere and service, but the perk is that the sandwiches are fantastic. Go and see Tony and gang; be prepared for a delicious tastebud sensation. James will try to custom make just the perfect concoction for you. Ask for the 'secret Zest' when they start adding on the goodies. You will be glad you did.

The best deli sandwich shop in Fresno has to be Blimpie at Shaw and Marks. Meats are sliced fresh to your order, breads are baked fresh daily and they have the best customer service around. You have to try the Blimpie Best.

I would have to say the best I have had day in and day out is at Forestiere's Deli at First and Barstow. All of the sandwiches are good, but the best is by far the Italian sausage with peppers. The bread is fresh and the sausage is made there and has just the right bite to it, while making sure the peppers add the right taste.

Have to agree w/ cakst. It's hard to beat Geno's. They are a little more pricey, but it's worth it. The bread they use is baked fresh every day and is the ingresient that makes the sandwiches.

I think the best deli sandwich shop is Geno's at Blackstone & Ashlan. The parking is awful but you can't beat their delicious sandwiches. I love the Turkey & Cheddar with avocado. Freshly make and a good price. Great staff, too!!

The best deli sandwich shop is Deli Delicious at Blackstone and Bullard near Target. Try the #26 turkey, guacamole, bacon, provolone, etc. The sandwiches are huge and always fresh. Yummy!
