I was not that impressed with this new places had bad bar service. My friend and I waited 15 minutes before a bartender asked if we wanted drinks. The food was ok not that great. Fresno isn't big enough to support this new restauranta $3 million restaurant. Fresno is not like San Francisco or LA that can support this type of restaurant. Campania is a lot better than this offspring called Pangea.

A group of friends ate at Pangea for lunch the other day and well.........we were divided. The menu was a little too eclectic for me and I sensed a touch of snobbery with the waite staff. I eat in Fig Garden a lot during the week and you see all manner of dress, from classic business suits to blue jeans, eating together. If someone can afford the prices, be pleasant and serve them with a smile and a "Thank You" on leaving. I had the Pulled pork sandwich with balsamic BBQ sauce on warm ciabatta roll and Pangea slaw ($10). It was very good. The slaw has a slow bite to it so if you are sensitive to spicy food be warned. Also tried were the Sweet & spicy grilled Korean style short ribs, Seared beef nigiri, asparagus & enoki mushroom sushi and the Grilled eggplant, fresh mozzerella & tomato sandwich. I probably won't go back because as I said the menu is a little too eclectic for me but I'm sure some of my friends will. Variety is good and it's not a corporate restaurant so let's give them a chance.
Good addition to Fig Garden...
The food is good, the drinks are well prepared, the wine list is well put together. I question whether it is trying to be a restaurant or a bar. It seems as though half of the patrons think that the bar extends into all corners of the restaurant making it very noisy and uncomfortable.
